The Muskoka Pride Committee has announced that July 16th through 24th is Muskoka Pride Week 2011. The committee also announced plans for this year’s Muskoka Pride Week events. In addition to the third annual Muskoka Pride Picnic, three additional LGBTA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, and Ally) events are planned across Muskoka.

On Saturday July 16th you can kick-off Pride Week with the “Fire, Fireworks and Potluck” happening at HQ Muskoka.

On Tuesday July 19th join us in Gravenhurst for “Dinner and a Movie.”

On Friday July 22nd come out for “Muskoka Pride Bowling” in Huntsville.

Muskoka Pride Week will come to a close on Sunday, July 24th with the third annual Muskoka Pride Picnic. The picnic will be held at Annie Williams Park in Bracebridge again this year. The event will take place from noon to 5PM.

Participants are invited to bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket as they enjoy this relaxed afternoon event. Food and beverages will be provided at this free event.

Everyone, gay and straight alike, is welcome to attend all Muskoka Pride Week events.
