A little about us...

I currently reside in beautiful Muskoka, ON with my wife, and daughter. I lost my grandfather a couple years back who had a strong passion for woodworking, and knowledge that he shared with me through many hours as a youngster in his shop. I have been given a number of his tools to carry on his tradition of making amazing wood products.

My new tools, a passion for woodworking and the ability to continue with my grandfather’s tradition have inspired me to take my hobby to the next level.

Most of the products that are made in the William H. Rudge Memorial Wood Shop are related to ‘Cottage Country’ where I have lived for the past 7 years. Our product line contains everything from Muskoka Chairs, Canoe Paddle Wine racks, and cutting bowls. I also do some turning, so you can often find hand turned wooden bowls on line as well. If you can’t find a product that you are looking for let us know, we do custom items as well.

A little about our shop...
All our products at Original Rudge are handmade at our shop in beautiful Muskoka, ON Canada. 
Most products are made or finished to order, this allows you ‘the customer’ the ability to customize your order with the finish or your choice. This is what makes ‘Original Rudge’ unique and gives you that small town customer service that it is hard to find now a days. Your orders will be completed quickly after they are placed, usually one week turnaround. You can also purchase unfinished products to add your own personal touch.
